MEDICAL DIRECTOR

Dr. Warner Anderson has over 46 years experience as a medical provider, educator and curriculum designer. He has held senior positions in the U.S. Army, the Department of Defense, and the Indian Health Service.
In the Defense Department, Dr. Anderson was the first Director of International Health, established to develop coherent policy and doctrine on how the US military uses health resources across the entire range of military operations: in disasters and humanitarian assistance, disease surveillance and detection, and as an instrument of Smart Power. As a U.S. Army colonel, he was assigned to the United States Special Operations Command, where he was Deputy Commanding Officer of the Special Operations Medical Group, and Associate Dean of the Joint Special Operations Medical Training Center. He deployed twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. As Chief of Emergency Medicine Dr. Anderson oversaw the largest Indian Health Service emergency department and ambulatory clinic in the nation. Additionally he served as the EMS (emergency medical services) medical director for a multicultural area the size of Connecticut. Dr. Anderson developed and coordinated complex services across several jurisdictions and hundreds of square miles, at all levels of care. |
OPERATIONS: Mark L. Donald, PA
Mark L. Donald served 25 years in the special operations community as a Reconnaissance Marine, Navy SEAL Corpsman and Physician Assistant. A recipient of 3 of the nation’s top 4 medals for valor, he is the most highly decorated medical officer for care under fire since the Second World War. Mark is a graduate of the renowned Army Special Forces Medic Course (18D), and numerous other special operations and expeditionary trauma training programs. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science, and a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska. He has served as an instructor, preceptor and site coordinator for two major physician assistant programs, and has extensive operational experience.
TRAUMA-SURGERY: James P. Cole, DO, FAACP*
Dr. James Cole has over 20 years’ experience providing life-saving care and trauma surgery. He is a staff physician at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Medicine and Public Health, and is Trauma Medical Director at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, Illinois. Dr. Cole is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He performed his post-doctoral internship at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Portsmouth Virginia, and Surgical residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso Texas. Dr. Cole has served as a paratrooper, Navy diver and leader of expeditionary surgical teams providing medical and combat surgical support to some of America’s most elite warfighters.

EVACUATION-PERSONAL RECOVERY: Robert "RJ" Casey, PA*
After over 25 years, RJ continues to be involved with various special operations units within DoD. He has worked ground and maritime projects while serving multiple combat tours in countries including Afghanistan, Colombia, Iraq, Pakistan, the Philippines and Somalia. RJ served in U.S. Army Special Forces as a Medical Sergeant (18D) and Detachment Commander (18A) before graduating from the military’s Interservice Physician Assistant Program. Years later, RJ transferred into the Air Force to serve as a Pararescueman (PJ) and finally as a Combat Rescue Officer (CRO). His diverse service within special operations has afforded him the operational and technical expertise to develop and manage complex medical evacuation and personnel recovery operations.
